Alachua County Library District

Learn by tinkering with new technology like a Lulzbot 3D printer in CREATEspace. Make a live action or stop motion video in VIDEOspace and ANIMATIONspace.  Build in LEGOspace.  Practice cooking techniques and try new recipes in FOODIEspace. Learn to sew at a SEWINGspace.

Gainesville Hackerspace

Provides a physical space where hackers, engineers, scientists, artists, and other creative types can gather to share ideas, equipment, opinions, and even food. Members are likely to show up to work on personal projects, consult with other members, and learn new things. More than just a project work space, we aim to share all types of knowledge in a friendly and collaborative environment.

The Tech Toybox

Dedicated to community improvement through education and creative spaces for the translation of ideas into their full commercial potential.  We work with individuals, artisans, tinkerers, companies and other non-profits to educate and lower barriers for almost any type of projects.

Sequential Artist Workshop

A school for comics and graphic novels. They offer a year-long program, many week-long opportunities, evening classes and online classes. They hold monthly art shows presenting excellence in illustrative and sequential art.
